Subject:
Orson Welles represent?
There's plenty to absorb here!
The first number of scenes are connected... There's a fire at the Army Surplus warehouse, and firemen are dispatched! We get shots of the building in question (seems like the fireworks floor got set off) FIremen arriving, FIremen exiting the fire house, firemen navigating the street, and so on. Fun bunch of shots!
Next is a crazy shot of people barging their way down the stairs. But the men with guns always get go first.
Next up, several shots of a chinatown district, likely San Francisco. Actually, I took the time to look up where we were. Using the business sign "Hung Far Low", that helped me locate this intersection at Sacramento and Grant Avenue in San Francisco. Anyways, a few shots from different angles are seen. Some are with a man running, which I guess was intentional.
Next up is highly interesting, a clapboard that says "Welles / Lawton". Director Orson Welles and Cinematographer Charles Lawton perhaps? Is this from Lady Of Shanghai? If so, that's a heck of a find. We see a seaside village /gathering of some sort.
Finally, a different clapboard Castle / Wimpy - No info, and we have a few shots of a rather large sailboat.
